What were some of the problems/issues in the early 1950's in America?
Some problems in the United States in the 1950's was segregation was becoming a big problem. After everyone was coming back home from war and getting used to a normal life again segregation was directed towards African Americans and in 1955 the whole incident with Rosa Parks happened.
List the issues addressed and people involved in the Yalta and Potsdam Conferences?
The big three at the Yalta conference was Franklin D. Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin, and Winston Churchill. Here was where the United Nations was created because the Soviet Union was gaining a strong hold in Europe and since the League of Nations failed they decided to come up with something else that would have the big three in charge. At Postdam many of the same issues came up with different leaders except Stalin but they talked about Germany and reparations and war crime trials.
Potsdam Conference:
Attlee, Churchill, Truman, and Stalin met to discuss the new system of control for Germany and offered Japan an ultimatum: Surrender or face destruction. However, due to vague wording, this conference's declaration was disobeyed several times.

The Baby Boom is an important issue because 75 million babies were born becoming citizens of the United States. This affects America today because thoughs babies are now adults and most are in thier 60's or soon aproching them. They soon will be the elderly population and they will need to be taken care of, this will create a huge number of jobs in medicare, medicine, and nursing homes. They baby boomers also helped create some of the technology that we enjoy and use in our daily lives, like cell phones, i-pods, and computers.
Some issues that happened after the was was the baby boom which people are now seeing as being a problem financially for the United States but also the cold war occurred between the United States and Soviet Union and didn't end until a couple years before some of us were born so this war wasn't that long ago as some people may think. Also a lot of technology that was invented during the cold war is still used today or just perfected from its original make.
